Was this trying to be sexy? I felt like maybe it was, but I didn't think it was very sexy. It was nice to look at, with some interesting performances- Daniel Day Lewis is pretty much always awesome, right? And while I'm asking the questions- does Paul Dano ever NOT play a weirdo and does poor, beautiful Catherine Keener ever get to NOT be the shrewish harpy? Even when her character has dimension, as she does here, she's still just kind of... brittle, and unlikeable. What's with that?
