Khoni.

The mountains, on a clear day, from the stands of Khoni's soccer field.

Lounging street dogs of Khoni, reveling in the springtime sun.

Nino's cross.

Frightening Barbie head found on a random back road of Khoni.

Horse and buggy, hanging out on a main thoroughfare of town... as you do.

Mightily mighty ducks, getting aggressive on a hike out to the Rioni River.

Mdinare Rioni.

Horse gang, hanging out on highway leading in/out of Khoni.

Tbilisi.

Cafe Gallery, a fun place to be in Tbilisi.

Sunset from the balcony of Machakhela, one of my favorite "feeling cheap" Georgian restaurants in Tbilisi.
No, the camera is not crooked.
"girls just wanna have safe sex"
 Mak'donaldsi.
The rail yards, and the pedestrian footbridge/tube shaped bazaar lit up at dusk.
Traditional Garb Georgian Barbie.
Alley in front of Friends Hostel, structurally sound balcony, cable car, and church.
Just a really pretty roof.

Finally, this exists. And we are all better for it.

Kutaisi.

Today I'm going to upload a lot of ends and odds from Georgia, now that I finally have all the pictures sorted out on my own hard drive.

The Kutaisi Central Bazaar

Fruit.
Flour.
Churchkhela (boiled wine and nut dessert thing).
Beans.
Fish.
 Vegetables.
Spices. And more beans.
From across the street, a city moment.

Deda Ena

"Mother tongue", referring to the Georgian language. A sign (statue? cement block?) in Kutaisi.

Kutaisoba, Celebrating the City of Kutaisi

Creepy giant puppet parade.
Brand new town center, including cobblestone road and fountain, that came together in about 3 weeks! Wow!
Creepy Georgian mime #1.
Creepy Georgian mime #2.
Traditional Georgian garb, as you do during a Kutaisoba.
White Bridge hat stealer boy statue.
One lari toys for sale!
Face painting poster flagrantly disregarding image copyright and usage laws!

Odds and Ends

Me miqkhvars Kutaisi.
Love park, where art imitates life imitates art imitating life.
The most beautiful wedding dress in the whole world.

Tamar Mepes Kucha

My street.

Kutaisi Cable Car and Amusement Park

 The destination.
 The vehicle.
Merry-Go-Round.

The saddest bear in the world.
 The ticket.
 The obligatory ferris wheel ride.
The souls much braver than me.
 A perfect ferris-wheel riding day.
The descent.

"And the old hunger returned...

...the terrible and obscure hunger that haunts and hurts Americans, and that makes us exiles at home and strangers wherever we go."  --Thomas Wolfe, Look Homeward, Angel
