Shoehats

Watched Brazil this weekend. I really really liked it, as I do with most Gilliam stuff. His stuff is claustrophic and cluttered, but I always find it to ring true in terms of tone and themes and stuff. Blah blah blah, film nerd babble. I just like the guy's work, is all, and I can't wait for The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus. That funeral scene is still fresh in my mind. I think it made a great point about vanity and the correlation beteen inner life and outer construction and... more film nerd babble. Sorry. Anyway, it is such a weird, disturbingly great payoff from the family friend's subplot that starts in this scene. Also...
SHOEHATS.
Why have they not come to be?
