A great little Indie, well-acted and thoughtfully written with near-perfect pacing in storytelling and a very satisfying ending. Plus a perfect introduction of Brie Larson's talent to the world. If her character's personal trauma seems a little too real or over the top or something at times, I think it's handled very realistically in how it comes to light and how she copes with it. She feels like a real person who is dealing with stuff she buried a long time ago, stuff she thought she was finished with. It's definitely relate-able for a lot of viewers, I'm sure. Anyway the rest of the cast gives great, understated performances as well and the whole thing is kind of devastating in an uplifting way, if that makes sense.
