Watched: The Legend of Tarzan

This film is so, so pretty which is no surprise since it comes from David Yates who must have gotten pretty good at juggling big, CGI-laden movies like this while working on the last few Harry Potter films. I mean it is dumb as hell. Seriously it descends into a ludicrous level of idiocy in its last half an hour. But turn off your brain and enjoy the pretty, pretty actors, cinematography (thanks to Henry Braham, who worked on The Golden Compass and Dr. Strange and seems to have a knack for gold space-y type films but also gets this pretty right), and settings.

This is like a damn painting.

Margot Robbie is so, so pretty.

This was a good scene though. Great acting all around in this scene. And also by Christoph Waltz who is just chewing scenery as the villain. Like I half expected him to twirl his mustache at one point and I would have loved it if he had.
