The joke behind the title is a comment made by my mother in response to Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts' senior thesis gallery, and one which is probably only funny to those who know my mother. Basically, she hates/does not understand/fears modern art. So when we went today to look at my brother's piece in person before it got taken down, she derived great joy from walking around pointing out the various absurd installations that were, in fact, "a thing".This is, in fact, a thing.
