Sublime, cheesy 80's machismo. Steroidal muscles and sweaty extreme close-ups everywhere. Ahnuld somehow being a higher-up of the US military despite his undeniable Austrian-ness? Is that a thing that's allowed? I don't know, I don't really know what goes or doesn't in the military. Or Marines. Or whatever. I watched this as a palette cleanser after the unintentionally terrible, pretentious The Countess because sometimes after watching a painful film that wants so badly to be something that it is not and will never be, it's nice to watch something that knows exactly what it is.
