A well-paced drama with moments of levity, sure. But a comedy? I don't know. Matt Damon is very Matt Damony in this and the supporting cast doesn't have a whole ton of a lot of space to maneuver around that but they do pretty well with what they've got. I enjoyed it, once I finally was able to get into it, for its committment to a realistic story about being stuck alone on another planet and NASA's/the world's reaction to such a predicament. Solid movie. Not a comedy.
